Dog Rose is a fast growing deciduous hedging plant that is most successful grown as a mixed hedge. It makes a very dense, prickly hedge which is useful for security. In summer it produces pale pink blooms with a faint perfume, but only if grown in sun. It will grow happily in almost any conditions including chalk.
