How much do you charge for delivery?
We offer a flat rate fixed price for UK mainland delivery, there is no limit on the order value or size, order as much as you like in one consignment and the price remains the same - £7.99.
Where do you deliver to?
We can deliver to all UK mainland addresses. We're sorry but at present we cannot deliver to Northern Ireland, Ireland, Scilly islands, Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Wight, Isle of Mann and Scottish Islands, International or BFPO addresses.
How and when are my items delivered?
Your order shipment date is determined by the item with the longest availability lead time i.e. if an item has a 2-week lead time, your order will be held until all items are available to be shipped together in one consignment. Once you have placed your order, we aim to deliver to you as soon as possible, usually within 5-7 days, Monday through Friday, excluding weekends and public holidays. When your consignment has been dispatched you will be sent a 'tracking number', this can be used to track progress via our couriers (DPD) website or their useful mobile app. All deliveries will be contactless, adhering to social distancing guidelines.
Garden Furniture & BBQs
This will be delivered by the Hillier team usually within 10 working days. After we have received your order, a member of the team will be in touch to discuss and confirm a convenient delivery date and time for you. We aim to call customers within 48 hours to arrange a suitable delivery date but cannot guarantee this.
Orders will be dispatched the next working day (Monday - Friday) following your order and sent first class Royal Mail.
These products are delivered to you direct from our suppliers. Order information will be sent to them the next working day following your order for them to fulfil.
Will I earn Gardening Club Points/can I use my rewards vouchers in the online shop?
We have developed this online shop quickly to respond to demand for home deliveries during this period of uncertainty and self-isolation, therefore we are not able to offer all of the services we would usually like. Unfortunately, this means that we are unable to allocate Gardening Club points to purchases made through the Hillier Online Shop at this time.
Can I pay using Hillier Gift Cards or HTA Vouchers?
We have developed this online shop quickly to respond to demand for home deliveries during this period of uncertainty and self-isolation, therefore we are not able to offer all of the services we would usually like. Unfortunately, this means that we are unable to take Hillier Gift Cards or HTA vouchers as payment through the Hillier Online Shop at this time.
Are other gardening products available online?
You can purchase plants and bulbs through the Hillier Online shop. Due to delivery restrictions we are unable to offer any other products at this time.
Can I place an order by phone?
At this time we can only accept orders though the online ordering website and not via phone or email unfortunately.
Can I place an order for collection at my local Hillier Garden Centre?
Orders are only available for delivery to home addresses at this time and not available for collection from our Garden Centres as this the safest approach and in line with government advice.
Is there a daily limit on orders?
We are delighted that we have been able to create this online shop so that our customers can continue to enjoy their gardens this spring.
As you can imagine, this is a busy time of the year for garden centres and this year, demand for ordering online is higher than ever in the current unprecedented circumstances. We aim to process and deliver all orders swiftly, but please bear with us if this takes a little longer than expected during this time.
In order to ensure that our team can process and deliver all orders safely and to our usual high standard, we may need to introduce a daily limit on the number of orders that we can accept. Once we have reached the maximum number of orders that we can process for the day, we will put a message on the homepage to let you know and you will no longer be able to checkout.
You will not be able to checkout during this time, but will still be able to browse and return the following day to place your order. We appreciate this may be an inconvenience but it will allow us to offer a better service to all of our customers who are eager to work in their gardens at this time.
Can I use my Hillier Trade Card for discounts online?
Trade Cards can only be used in person in one of our 17 Garden Centres or our Romsey Cash and Carry, Trade Discounts do not apply to the Hillier Online Shop.
How do I know the size of the plant I am ordering?
When you browse the plants on this website, at the end of the plant name you will see 2L, 3L or 5L, this refers to the litre capacity of the pot. The image below shows you the size of these pots and what you can expect.
Plants of this size are small enough that they will establish quickly in your garden, but still big enough to provide an impact in the first year as well. Please note that the size of the plant will vary depending on the type of plant and throughout the year.
